Netherlands-based FIFA academy Team Gullit has announced a partnership with men’s styling brand Philips OneBlade.
As part of the deal, Philips OneBlade’s branding will feature on Team Gullit’s jerseys all year round.
Moreover, Team Gullit players will wear the newly branded jerseys during FIFA tournaments next year. Within the game itself, Team Gullit’s jersey has been featured in previous editions. EA has yet to announce whether the organisation will be featured in FIFA 23.
Most recently, Team Gullit players Levi de Weerd and Manuel Bachoore were-crowned champions of the eDivisie, the official FIFA esports league in the Netherlands. Both players represented Vitesse Arnhem.
This is not the first esports-related collaboration for Philips One Blade, as its roster of partners also boasts the likes of esports organisations BIG (Germany) and Mkers (Italy). The men’s styling brand also teamed up with esports organisation Team Heretics and GODSENT in 2020.
On the other hand, Team Gullit has active deals with brands such HP OMEN, video platform Recast and North American MLS football club Atlanta United. Earlier this year, the academy also joined forces with Samsung to open a pop-up store at Utrecht Central Station in the Netherlands.
Hair removal and grooming companies are fairly active in esports. Gillette is also one of the most notable companies to enter the space, and has signed deals with names such as EA, ESL and BLAST, among others.
