Besides, Mirage is, probably, one of the most popular maps among the ones played in rating matchmaking. If you are going to boost your rank, you will not be able to do it without grenade throws, which will help you enter the plant zone.

This time, we will talk about plant A and tell you a few useful and pretty easy grenade throws, which will help enter this area like your own home and win matches.

To use it, it will be enough to target the necessary point and throw a smoke grenade. However, we will not avoid the more advanced smokes, which require the skill of doing the jump-throw trick (jump and throw), so the smoke grenade will fly where you need it.

Let’s remember that you will need to host a server and enter the necessary console commands to have a comfortable grenade practice. Initially, active the developer console in the settings menu, after which host a server without bots on the map Mirage and choose any side, then enter the following list of commands:

  • sv_cheats 1
  • sv_infinite_ammo 1
  • mp_do_warmuptime 99999
  • mp_buytime 99999
  • mp_buy_anywhere 1
  • sv_grenade_trajectory 1
  • restart

The server will reboot with the installed settings and after that, we will be ready to practice.

All grenade throws work on the tick rate 64, which allows practicing this smoke not only on FACEIT but on regular CS:GO matchmaking servers.

Smoke №1

Let’s start with one of the easiest smokes on the map Mirage

This easy but very effective smoke will allow you to cut off 2 positions at the same time. First of all, a player who is near the CT base will lose an opportunity to wait for opponents in a comfortable position. To achieve his objective, he will have to climb up and if you have smoked properly and you know that he may be there, you will be waiting for him or kill him from Tetris. Besides, even using a boost, it will not be comfortable for him to meet you.

First, climb on a parapet, after which find this spot.

Lower the sight down and stand at this point.

Smoke №3

The throw will allow you to cut off the enemy’s view at a close distance and fully obscure the view of the one who is sitting at the firebox position. It is very simple and can be useful.

First, we count two cinder blocks in the second row from the bottom left of the door and aim there.

Come right next to this position. It will help us to stay in such a position that the throw reaches the target and does not hit the building that stands near the point where the smoke will fly.

This smoke will allow us to close the exit from the CT spawn when entering plant A. However, a defense player can climb up but it will be easier to overcome him in the firefight because you know that he will be there.

First, you need to stand in the corner near this in such a way as to rest against both the door sill and the wall.

Create such an imaginary intersection and slightly raise your sight above the point where the lines of the above-mentioned landmarks converge.

Do a jump-throw then. This smoke may be pretty difficult, so it means that it should be practiced before being used in matchmaking. However, it is effective enough because many players like taking a fight against the enemies coming out of the T ramp from the position this smoke obscures.

This grenade throw is extremely difficult and requires the perfect accuracy and timing of a jump-throw. However, if it is mastered and you learn how to use this smoke, it will close two positions at once: the jungle and the connector, which will save you a smoke grenade for a more fitting occasion.

To start with, stand in front of this torch to position yourself opposite the center of the column in front of us (like with a smoke #4).
