Honor Malaysia has announced the arrival of the Honor Play, a new gaming-focused smartphone, in Malaysia, Singapore and The Philippines. The launch event held at Sunway Pyramid saw the press and fans alike invited to test out the phone.
Honor Play is equipped with the Kirin 970, Huawei’s top-of-the-line processor in the market so far. A tall 6.3-inch screen with 19.5:9 display ratio and 83% screen-to-body ratio plus a big 37500mAh battery makes the hardware ready for the latest mobile games.
Besides that, Honor Play also has GPU Turbo- an improved software layer that is claimed to help ooze out better framerates, better than any other gaming smartphones, claimed Honor.
Honor Play will also support 3D audio surround sound and something called “4D Gaming”. Which all boils down to as specific vibration options. This is only available on specific games, however, with PUBG Mobile being the leading title and at least two more titles to have this support. We were told that the “4D Gaming” feature is the result of close partnership with Honor and game publishers/developers, in this case Tencent.
