Fortnite never ceases to amaze players with its exotic collaborations. This time they have added another iconic franchise to their list. This time it is another title that shares the same publisher platform, Epic Games. It seems that Rocket League, the phenomenal vehicular soccer video game is making its mark in Fortnite in collaboration and will introduce Octane Vehicle in the game.
Fortnite will bring the Octane Vehicle as a part of the Rocket League Collaboration
Interestingly, the Octane vehicle, which shares a striking resemblance with Rocket League’s vehicles was added to the game last month. “From Champions Field to the Island… 11.15.2022” the tweet reads, confirming that players who log into the game today might find the vehicle cruising around the map.
While any official confirmation is still pending, both Fortnite and Rocket League posted a teaser on their official Twitter handles yesterday featuring their vehicle being “rifted”. This follows the same pattern we see before new items or characters from other worlds are introduced in the game.
The Octane might arrive in Fortnite after the V22.40 update
The maintenance period for V22.40 is scheduled at 4 AM ET on November 15, with matchmaking being withheld shortly before the downtime. This is the second-to-last update before Fortnite’s Chapter 3 finale. The final event named ‘Fracture’ is scheduled for December 3, 2022. This means after the maintenance period loopers will witness many new changes.
The Octane vehicle received a positive welcome when it got added to Fortnite’s creative mode, giving players the experience of its Rocket League-like abilities, which include a wall-climbing feature and a boost. The resemblance in gameplay is more than enough to foretell that the collaboration of Fortnite and Rocket League was coming our way.
