Genshin Impact: This is hard because most players’ traditional idea of “pay to win” is that a single player can buy a lot of strength and kill everyone else they meet in multiplayer.
This traditional idea doesn’t work for Genshin Impact Yellen because it doesn’t have a player-versus-player, at least not at the time of writing. So the most obvious form of “pay to win,” which ruins the game for everyone else, is not there.
Still, the game has a few things that could be called “pay to win,” like a Gacha system for getting new characters (and some weapons) and the ability to buy Primogems and a premium battle pass.
How does Genshin Impact work?
MiHoYo, a Chinese company, has made a new action-adventure game called Genshin Impact. It takes place in the made-up world of Teyvat, where elemental magic, dragons, monsters, spirits, and other fantastic things are part of everyday life. You play as a young man or woman named the Traveler. At the story’s start, you and your twin brother or sister have been travelling between different worlds together, but a mysterious woman splits you up and leaves you alone in Tivat.
You, as the Traveler, will use your magical skills and help from people you meet in Teyvat, like the spiteful creature Paimon, to explore the world, grow your power, and look for your sibling and the powerful woman who split you up.
In Genshin Impact, what do you do?
After a few tutorial quests, the Traveler and their companions will be able to (mostly) freely explore the world of Teyvat. Amber, Kaeya, and Lisa will join your party early on as part of the story. You can get other party members by using gacha mechanics, which you can buy with real money or use game currency. Each character has a different style of play, with different weapons and elemental magic. Many of the game’s puzzles will require you to switch between characters easily.
Genshin Impact is played by exploring Teyvat when you’re not following the game’s story. Your character can walk and run, find wild ingredients for cooking and crafting, climb cliffs to get to high places and fight enemies using a combination of weapons and elemental magic. If you open treasure chests, you find, your “Adventure Level” will go up, giving you more things to do in the world. To level up the combat skills of each party member, you’ll have to fight enemies and use special tomes.
Why does Genshin Impact do what it does?
There is a main storyline that you follow through the game, with cutscenes and voice acting that are fully realized (English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese). Your goal is to find your brother or sister, but you’ll run into tough enemies along the way, like the dragon Dvalin and The Abyss Order.
You can’t “beat the game” in a real sense. Since this is a games-as-a-service game, the story isn’t over yet. It will continue in future updates, the next big one of which will be in November. It’s like the way Destiny works now, where chapters of the story will come out over time, and the game will keep going.
There are only two of what are considered seven regions in the world right now, so Genshin Impact will probably be updated with new characters, areas, and missions to do. It doesn’t bug you as much as other gacha games, so it feels like a full-fledged AAA game.
Breath of the Wild is the new Zelda game.
It’s similar to Breath of the Wild in that you can explore many of the worlds. The best thing about chests is that you can find better weapons, artefacts, and money in them, and they don’t break.
Bosses like the Ruin Guard drop important items like the Chaos Device that can be used to improve characters, weapons, or equipment. The ruin guard is a tough enemy, especially for lower-level players, but we know how to beat it. There are puzzles in the world, like the secret puzzle in Luhua Pool, just like in Breath of the Wild.
How to Earn Fate Points in Genshin Impact
After the 2.0 update, Fate Points became a part of Genshin Impact. They are part of the “Epitomized Path,” which lets Travelers get the weapons they want from the “Epitomized Invocation” banner.
You can get to the Fate Points system by going to the menu and tapping the icon in the bottom left corner. You can make a plan to get the featured weapon you want from this menu.
You’ll get a Fate Point when you get a 5-star weapon that wasn’t the one you chose. This means, of course, that you’ll have to spend Wishes in the Epitome Invocation banner to get Fate Points.
But remember! In Genshin Impact, travellers can hold up to two Fate Points at once. Once you have two Fate Points, however, it’s sure that the next 5-star weapon you get will be the one you planned for.
Before you make a wish on the banner, you can choose a 5-star weapon that you want. Every time you don’t get the weapon you chose, you’ll get one Fate Point (to a max of two fate points).
This will cost you wishes, of course, but you will be able to get the weapon you want after a reasonable number of tries.
If you have one fate point and then get the weapon you want, In Genshin Impact, your Fate Points will go back to 0 until you choose a new weapon and try to get that one instead.
What does Genshin Impact mean?
Genshin Impact is an action role-playing game with an open world where the player can control any four characters in a party. During the battle, it’s easy to switch between characters, letting the player use many different combinations of skills and attacks.
