A Disney Dreamlight Player creates a dress inspired by Netflix’s Stranger Things, complete with iconic elements from the show.
A creative Disney Dreamlight Valley player made a dress inspired by the hit Netflix show Stranger Things. The supernatural drama starring Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, and David Harbour, among many others, has had four seasons since first premiering in 2016, with the upcoming fifth season being its final one.
Apart from going on adventures and meeting Disney characters, Disney Dreamlight Valley is known for its customization tools that allow players to create and personalize their outfits and spaces. It has inspired people to create Disney characters who are not in the game yet, as well as bring non-Disney figures to life in the magical world. With shows like Stranger Things also having impressive characters and world building, it comes as no surprise that Disney Dreamlight Valley players would draw inspiration from them.
Posted on Reddit by kamelionaire4206, they created a Stranger Things-inspired dress in Disney Dreamlight Valley, complete with Demogorgons, black tendrils from the Upside Down, and the fairy lights from Will’s home printed on the red skirt. To make the avatar fit the horror genre more, the player gave her long green hair and Maleficent’s horns, and even had a raven flying nearby to match the Hawkins backdrop.
Many Disney Dreamlight Valley players in the comments praised the Stranger Things dress and the amount of details in it, expressing that the player made good use of the customization tools. In the past, players have showcased the game’s customization capabilities by finding the right items, shapes, and colors in an attempt to make the most accurate-looking character outfits, like a line of Disney Princess dresses. However, players have also expressed how time-consuming it can be to recreate such looks when they see it posted online, and called on Disney Dreamlight Valley to add asset sharing for more convenience.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is currently still in Early Access, but the full free-to-play release is expected some time this year, which players hope will have more quality-of-life updates for a better gameplay experience. Aside from that, players can definitely expect more Disney characters and realms based on Disney movies to be added in the game, along with new quests and furniture items like when the Toy Story realm was introduced in December.
Apart from Disney Dreamlight Valley, fans are also awaiting Disney’s first trading card game Disney Lorcana, which will officially launch in August. This year seems to be a big one for Disney games, and only time will tell if there will be other big announcements in the future.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is currently available through Early Access for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
