The Battle Royale title will also feature an all-new Battle Pass, which has been detailed by the developers at Infinity Ward in a new blog post.
Instead of the classic horizontal strip of tiered content to unlock, the new Call of Duty Battle Pass is designed after a map called Battle Pass Area of Operations (AO), featuring several Combat Sectors to unlock. For Season 1, the AO contains 21 Combat Sectors to claim rewards from.

Each Combat Sector will have multiple rewards both free and paid to unlock, with one of them being the main item of interest called High Value Target (HVT). To unlock these items, players will require a Battle Token Tier Skip. A total of 100 Battle Token Tier Skips can be earned in a Season.
After obtaining the HVT, players can move to any of the adjacent Sectors, until they can claim the rewards from all the sectors.
