Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Unveils Dates of Pre-Load, Pre-Season, Season 1, and Spec Ops; Activision Teases Post-Launch Content Including Raids


A new Call of Duty cycle is upon us, as Activision gears up for the full release of the long-awaited Modern Warfare II.

While the title is set to make its debut on consoles and PC on October 28, Activision has offered details on pre-load times for the early access campaign and the full game launch.

Players can begin their pre-load for the early access campaign on October 19 at 10 AM PT/ 1 PM ET/ 5 PM GMT for all platforms, and fans can take part in it the next day at the same time.

The pre-load for the full game varies for different consoles and PC. Xbox users will receive the pre-load access first on October 19 at 10 AM PT/ 1 PM ET/ 5 PM GMT. While PlayStation users will get pre-load access on October 20, Steam and players will have to wait until October 26 to download Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.

The full game will drop on October 27 between 4 AM PT and 9 PM PT for Xbox and PlayStation players, depending on their region. For Steam and players, the launch will take place at 9 PM PT.

While the game will launch on October 27, Pre-Season for Modern Warfare II will take place between October 28 and November 15. During this time, players would want to unlock all base Loadout items, weapons, attachments and many more to prep for mayhem with the release of Season 1.

It will then be followed by the start of Season 1, which begins on November 16. Season 1 will coincide with the release of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, which features the new Al-Mazrah map. The game will also come with a brand-new mode in DMZ as well.

Following the launch of Warzone 2.0, Infinity Ward will debut Raids for Spec Ops with the Season 1 Reloaded patch. Activision has further teased big surprises with post-launch content for Modern Warfare II, as the update will feature the return of a legendary map from the franchise. Plus, Warzone 2.0 will also receive its first post-launch content as well.
