Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade gameplay footage is reportedly leaked

Ubisoft has announced a set of new Assassin’s Creed games during its 2022 Ubisoft Showcase. Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade is among the new games that are coming, however, this one is particularly announced for mobile devices. Now, with the recent leaks it seems, the first and proper gameplay footage for Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade is here.

Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade gameplay leaks show the exact same RPG mechanisms

The two-minute video clip shared by Facebook user Tiger White on Assassin’s Creed Syncposting Facebook group is enough to confirm this game and pass on a judgement on what AC Codename Jade might look like, and surprisingly it looks exactly the same as its PC and Console counterparts. The game seems to have the same gameplay, parkour and movement mechanics. Even the icons used for these are very similar.

If you have played any of the modern RPG Assassin’s Creed titles such as Origins, Odyssey, or Valhalla, you would be able to relate very easily.

AC Codename Jade brings the story of Mohists

Assassins Creed IP is not new to the Chinese origin. Assassins Creeds Chronicles story is based out of China. And now, Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade is also taking the story back to China following the quests of Mohists.

The leaked gameplay footage shows Dangling Bai, Juzi of Mohists, as a playable character where he is tasked to save his village from invasion. He also meets Wei Yu, a familiar face in the Assassins Creed franchise, during the two-minute gameplay showcase.

The previous leak of Tencent developing an Assassins Creed game is becoming true

Another interesting part that I could infer from this leaked footage of Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade is that Tenent is probably developing this game. It is quite evident from the UI, that exactly looks similar to any styling of Arena of Valor or Honor of Kings.

We reported in February 2021 that Ubisoft is working with Tencent for an Assassins Creed mobile game, and now we can finally confirm this. And following that leaks, we can also say that the gameplay is exactly what it is supposed to be when it is developed on Unreal Engine 4.

With Tencent taking the development part of this game, the fans can be assured that the production quality will be top-notch as the company has already established a decent reputation by producing industry-leading mobile games. Although I can not comment on the monetisation part as Ubisoft is mostly known for heavy microtransactions and this resonates well with mobile games in general.

That being said, this Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade gameplay leaks are definitely interesting and might set a new standard for Ubisoft’s game on mobile devices.
